SNKRS: THE STORY OF DUNK - **FULL DOCUMENTARY**

Image
The origin of the Nike Dunk dates back to the early 1980s when college basketball began to attract mainstream appeal. According to Nike’s latest docuseries titled  The Story of Dunk , Nike got the idea to create the Dunk when sales reps attended the 1985 NCAA Final Four. All four college teams competing for the NCAA Championship that year were sponsored by Nike, which was monumental, considering Nike was still a fledgling player in the basketball market. While the Swoosh logo was front and center on the biggest stage in college basketball, the shoes themselves did not match the spirit and charisma of their surrounding environment, an arena filled with fans dressed head-to-toe in their school colors and showing off their school pride. To capture this energy, Nike developed a design with bold colorways that would not only match uniforms on the court but also suit fans in the stands .   One of the best Nike Dunk documentary on Youtube, full of information on the history of the Dunks.

interesting situation. Overall, this is one of those sneakers that tends to be pretty polarizing for sneakerheads. This is due to the fact that the shoe has a very unique design. Penny Hardaway made these famous in the 90s, and for the most part, they were an East Coast thing. However, there is no doubt that people all over the world cherish this silhouette. The only issue is that these days, it doesn’t fit into the trends that typically help push other models.  That said, sneakerheads who understand this shoe, are always  eager to cop new models.  Furthermore, they will also be more than okay with some retros whenever they come around. Throughout this year, we have actually seen a Foamposite revival of sorts. The shoe is slowly getting some new colorways, and fans are extremely excited about the possibilities. Now, however, we have some official images for a special retro that fans are bound to enjoy. Below, you can find the  Nike  Air Foamposite One “Metallic Red.”
